Part 2 Lead Educator (Windsor, ON)
Problematic feet are Arlene’s passion. Feet are so unique and important and that is why Arlene loves doing foot care.
Arlene is a registered nurse and Foot Care Nurse Educator. She has over 36 years of nursing experience, including her work at Hotel Dieu Hospital (Windsor, ON) in gerontology, medical surgical, orthopedics, emergency, and outpatient day surgery. In August of 2016 Arlene accepted an early retirement package and is now focused solely on her business as well as teaching.
With encouragement from family, friends and other health care professionals, she founded Healthy Heels and More Inc. in Windsor. Her business has several hundred clients at present and continues to grow.
Arlene is a Lead Educator for Part 2 (Clinical) in Windsor. Part 2 of Foot Canada Training's Foot Care Nurse course is offered in association with Healthy Heels and More Inc. Arlene’s goal is to teach other nurses to become the “best foot nurses” imaginable, using clinical teaching and hands on experience. She believes it is important for students to learn in a relaxed and comfortable environment, and to facilitate this, she teaches smaller groups.
Arlene loves to educate the public as well as other nurses. She speaks annually on the importance of healthy feet for a senior group in Essex. She is the founder and creator of the annual Windsor-Essex Foot Care Conference.
Amputation can be prevented, and as foot nurses we can make a vital difference!
At Healthy Heels our motto is “One step closer to a healthier you”.
